E-Learning

Bluestream has been active in the E-Learning community since 2002. Initially Bluestream was involved with the SCORM reference model from ADL.net. This work culminated in a SCORM content management system.

Due to Bluestream's advanced search capabilities, Bluestream worked with the province wide British Columbia Campus organization in the development of an advanced Learning Object Repository developed at the University of Alberta. Further work was done with XLor, a prototype with full searching on IMS meta data.

XDocs 1.0 is a flexible Content Management System (CMS) that allows your organization to speed up the processes of creating, indexing, storing, revising, managing, searching and publishing e-learning content. Store and reuse learning objects natively based on XML technology and in conformance to international standards and specifications for e-learning content management (e.g. IMS, SCORM).

Currently Bluestream continues in the E-Learning community with Thompson Rivers University (TRU). TRU is an XDocs customer with their own proprietaryXML format. XDocs is used for authoring and publishing TRU courses to the web and IMS content packages.
